More November Competitions

Sometimes the end of the year can feel like a dead time in the writing community - there are no more festivals, new books are waiting eagerly to be launched before Christmas, and there are no new writing competitions to try your hand at.
Well, that last one isn't true. Here are four more great competitions you could enter this year.
QWC Flash Fiction Prize
'This is your chance to share your big stories in a few words!' This competition is open to everyone ages 15 and above, which is great for young emerging writers. Stories must be between 50 and 500 words.
Entry: $15 entry
Prizes: $500 first prize and publication, $250 second prize and publication, shortlist will also all be published.
Closing: 30 November 2017
Boulevard Short Fiction Contest for Emerging Writers
Emerging writers of short fiction - here is you golden opportunity. Stories of up to 8000 words by writers who have not yet had any books published are eligible for this prize.
Entry: $16 entry
Prizes: $1500 and publication in Boulevard
Closing: 31 December 2017
Peter Porter Poetry Prize
Australian Book Review is holding the fourteenth Peter Porter Poetry Prize. All poets writing in English are eligible to enter this prestigeous prize.
Entry: $15 entry full time student, $25 non-student
Prizes: $5000 first prize, $2000 second prize, $500 shortlist

The Mozzie Poetry Prize
The Mozzie is an independant poetry magazine and are holding a competition to comemorate their 25 years.
