February Competitions

It's the second month of the year, so the second round of writing competitions is here. There are so many exciting opportunities for writers going around, and we are loving getting all the submissions that are coming through. But there is still time to write up some genius work and submit to these:

Miniature* Competition

Outstanding's new competitiong for the Mardi Gras season is here. LGBTIQ writers here is a fun competition you can enter: a maximum 40-word story about the broader Australian and New Zealand LGBTIQ community. The theme of the competition this year is FORTY

Tom Howard/John H. Reid Fiction & Essay Contest

AWAW only publishes poetry and short fiction - which is half of this competition so it still counts! Send through a short story, any short story, at a maximum of 6000 words to be in the running for this prize.

Sutherland Shire Literary Competition

Australian residents of over 18 years are invited to submit their poetry and short fiction to this lovely competition.
